Maria was inspired to do keto to improve her health

If you are having health problems, then consider “your ketorrific journey.” Initially, Maria was inspired to improve her health after her husband turned to keto to help alleviate his health problems. Overall, Maria sees keto as a journey and not as a diet fad. If you view keto as a voyage in your life, you will find it much easier to have a keto lifestyle. It is important to remember that there is not a one-size-fits-all philosophy when it comes to keto. Listen to our podcast to find out more about what Maria says about this!

Do not shame yourself if you splurge on keto

When on your ketorrific journey, it is crucial to do your splurge by eating a keto treat with a meal. Do not choose to eat a keto treat at the beginning of the day for breakfast. Chances are, if you start the day with a keto treat, it may trigger you to have more cravings throughout the day.  Maria talks more about this concept in the episode.

You don’t have to log calories or weigh yourself to do keto!

I think that many of us feel like we need to track every morsel that goes in our mouth or weigh ourselves when doing keto. This concept couldn’t be furthest from the truth! Maria and I talked about this in the webinar and how you can weigh yourself or track calories/carbs if that is what you want to do. However, if you cannot stand logging or weighing, don’t do it! Just trust yourself and how you feel in your clothes!

Eileen’s Bio

Eileen is a soul practitioner and coach. She has worked one on one with clients for 6 years and created and facilitated online programs for all who are ready to be empowered in their souls and lives.

She had a long carrier as a designer and green architect to Fortune 500 companies, publishers, churches, and luxury homeowners before her current life work. She started and ran her own award-winning architecture firm which still lives on through her former business partner.  Even in her success in her old career the role she often played was chief officer in charge of relationships and keeping the peace in a highly stressful and chaotic industry. Clients used to tell her she should be a marriage counselor because as wonderful as it is to build your dream home it is an organic process and can be very stressful and emotional. Her stable presence, diplomatic skills, and compassion were highly sought after at work and in her personal life.

After 20 plus years in her career, Eileen refocussed her life on hers and her family’s health and well-being after health issues arose for multiple family members. At the same time, she experienced the loss of 5 family members of the elder generation in a very short period of time. In her journey to healing her natural skills of empathic intuition and her deep wells of compassion grew exponentially. She received 4 years of training from The Foundation for Shamanic Studies and participated in the Medical Medium Practitioner Support service as someone committed to learning and sharing medical medium information.

Eileen is now working closely with Amie Jones in the creation and facilitation of “ReWild ReNew A Powerful You.” They provide unique transformational programs to take you from where ever you are to a more empowered you.

Trust is a big word in Shamanism

Eileen tells her clients to “suspend your disbelief for a little bit, let’s pretend it’s true and see what happens.” Trust is a significant component, whether you take a shamanic journey or have a shamanic practitioner journey. We are often taught that any thoughts or images tend to be our imagination and that we shouldn’t believe what we see, feel or heal. When you get into Shamanism, it is crucial to let go of those disbeliefs and know where you can go in life.

Journeying can be startling to us because it is not something you do in your own body

If the thought about making a shamanic journey seems startling to you, then go with it. That is an entirely normal feeling! You see, overall, you aren’t used to operating on a subconscious level. I think many of us are used to ordinary reality and feel somewhat funny in non-ordinary reality. If that’s you, then that is okay. The first start to getting through this belief is to accept it. Once you can discern this thought, you will find that taking a shamanic journey is much easier.

Shamanic healing brings you closer to your own spiritual beliefs

Overall, when you choose to heal your body with Shamanism, you become closer to your own spiritual beliefs. One of the common myths of Shamanism is that it is some religion, which is the furthest from the truth. I like to relate this myth to how some people believe that the chakras are sacrilegious.

In both of these concepts, some people think, “well, if I believe that, then it is against my religion.” This thought can’t be furthest from the truth! I think for years and years, there are people higher up in our society that has kept these concepts from you because they didn’t want you to experience your true healing. 

What I want you to do is to let go of any misconception that Shamanism or chakras have anything to do with religion. I was hoping you could use both of these concepts to help bring you closer to your own spiritual beliefs. For example, I believe in God, and I have firmly found that my learning to be a shamanic practitioner has helped me to be closer to God.

In this podcast, I brought back my friend Master Lama Rasaji, and we spoke about how you are the ” CEO of your health.” When you hear this statement, I want you to sit back, think about the words, and ask yourself some questions. Have you recently decided to get a vaccination or medical treatment because your doctor told you needed it? Or maybe you got a vaccine because of your wife, husband, or mother?

Whatever the reasons, I want you to reflect and think about why you listened to that physician or relative. Did you consult all of the resources and make an informed decision before getting medical treatment or a vaccine? Did you do as the Lamasery says, ” You should do or not do based on your belief?”

Do Tai’ Chi Gung and determine your actual belief aspect

When you take up Tai’ Chi Gung, you will help to open up your chakras and discover your existing belief system. When your chakras are in balance, you can exert your beliefs, thus improving your ability to make decisions. Overall, before making any decisions, Master Lama Rasaji says it is essential to ask yourself, ” Do you believe it works?”

If you feel something beneficial for your body, then you are not in fear

Overall, a decision should not be triggered by fear but by research. Altogether, if you feel that something is beneficial to your body, you give that decision actual energetic value. That means you do not have fear or aren’t doing something because you are told it is right for you.

Do not stress if you or a family member has had a medical treatment that you are afraid of

Overall, do not worry if you or your family has had a vaccination or medical treatment in which you’ve heard many bad things. Maybe your mom got a vaccine that you’re worried about? If your mother was happy about that specific vaccination, perhaps her chakras are open, and she is exerting her belief system. Discover your healing potential with Ayurvedic Medicine

Did you realize that you have the potential to heal your own body? Yes, you do! Listen to this podcast with Sharon Niemi and learn the power of Ayurvedic Medicine. Sharon decided to pursue Ayurveda after experiencing an awakening in her mid-40s and decided to turn her life around. Even though she worked insane hours in Corporate America, she found a solution to her health problems. It was then that she discovered Ayurveda and decided she was going to study Ayurveda for four years.

In the podcast, Sharon says, “I was my best lab rat.” She says that everything she was learning in Ayurveda, she applied to herself. Once she turned to Ayurveda, she was thrilled. She said it was very different than the conventional approach to medicine and that it was better than the” one size fits all mentality.” She loved that Ayurveda’s approach, which was all about, “what’s your body type, what’s your imbalance and to bring the body back to homeostasis” approach. She said to her what makes Ayurveda so unique, “Is that it is tailored toward the individual, it was natural, and it was all about balance and not masking.”

Sharon lost weight after she applied Ayurveda

Sharon says in the podcast that after she applied Ayurveda, she is “70 lbs lighter and 20 years later she is healthier now at 65 going on 66, then she was when she was 45 when she entered the program.”

What is Ayurvedic medicine?

Ayurvedic medicine is entirely holistic and strives to create harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. It does this by maintaining a balance that prevents illness, treats acute conditions, and contributes to a long and healthy life. Ayurveda is all about getting to the root cause of symptoms and not giving medications for a temporary “bandaid fix.” When you get at the root of what the problem is, then the symptoms disappear.

Ayurveda exerts its effects by balancing your chakras

Overall, to learn the power of Ayurvedic Medicine, you must see Ayurveda sees the world in five energies. These five energies include the five elements earth, fire, water, ether, and air. It relates to the chakras because each one of these elements is associated with the chakras. The heavier material energies are in your lower chakras, and the higher and more etheric energies( which helps with the lighter and more energetic you) are in the higher chakras. Ayurveda works on the lightening of the lower chakras to bring it up into the higher chakras. In the podcast, Sharon goes over how this works, so you will get all the details when you listen! Overall, Ayurveda balances the five energies with the foods you eat to include your stress levels. All of these things all tie into the balance of your chakras.

Chakra Balancing

Sharon uses the power of Ayurvedic Medicine by balancing her chakras through meditation every day. Her Ayurvedic meditation practice focuses on bringing the energies out of the lower three chakras, with contraction of the perineum, intestines, and stomach. By doing this, she can release the hormones of stress and survival that so many of us tend to hold on to. It turns out that your chakras will not balance if they are holding onto fear, frustration, and anger, or anxiety. If you are in flight or fight, it will be hard to get any chakra in order! Sharon delves into all of this in the episode.

Gratitude is essential for chakra balance

It is essential to learn gratitude if you want to learn the power of Ayurvedic Medicine. If you want to get your chakras in order, Sharon explains how it is essential to incorporate gratitude in your daily practice. Think about things like,” My word is my will.” When you have an appreciation, you will lengthen your telomeres, thus improve your aging.

Chakra Balance and Weight Loss

In the podcast, we also talk about the length of time it takes before you can see a weight loss in Ayurvedic medicine. Sharon discusses in the podcast that the inability to lose weight is from stagnation in the chakras. It is so interesting how she explains this! When you listen to the webinar, you will get a better idea of how this happens. Overall, if you take on any dietary regimen without balancing your chakras first, any weight you’ve lost initially will come back on if you don’t have a good chakra balance.

Ayurveda sees that we go into ketosis every spring and fall

In the podcast, Sharon discusses that according to Ayurvedic Medicine, it is natural to go into ketosis every spring and fall. In these two seasons, it is perfect for applying protocols and lower carbs to get into fat-burning. Sharon says that she can usually get people to energetically align and start losing weight in about a week or two.

Carb threshold in Ayurveda?

In the podcast, I ask Sharon if there is a carb threshold in Ayurveda. It is very interesting how she responds! In fact, the answer focuses on giving your digestive system a break during the spring or fall and “rebooting your digestive system.” Ayurveda is all about following the rhythms of mother natures.

Fasting and Ayurveda

Ayurveda takes on the natural rhythms of fasting. There are three times during the day where the body wants to digest food. These times are first thing in the morning, noon, and late afternoon/ early evening. Sharon goes over when the body wants to eat its heaviest meal and the best times to cheat if you do that. Sharon says if someones has a lot of chakra stagnation, she would recommend one meal a day.

Dealing with food cravings during PMS

Sharon goes over how to deal with food cravings during Ayurveda practice. She goes overhydration and ways to get you from one digestive period to the next.

Do hormonal changes cause your Nadi centers in the chakras to close down?

I begin the podcast by asking Master Lama this question, ” Are our Nadi centers in the chakras closed down during PMS, menopause, or men’s hormonal changes?” What had prompted me to ask this question was based on how I feel after I do my Tai’ Chi Gung exercises during PMS. Overall, I have noticed that Tai’ Chi Gung helps significantly whenever I undergo a lot of PMS anxiety or stress. So due to the instant relief that I get, I conjured it up to the fact that it must be because I experience more chakra or Nadi center closure during this time.

How does Tai’ Chi Gung exert its effects on reproduction?

Tai’ Chi Gung can benefit your reproductive system by strengthening your energetic body. In this podcast, Master Lama Rasaji explains precisely how you can do this with Tai’ Chi Gung exercises. Master Lama explains that when you are born, all of your Nadi centers in chakras are closed. However, once you hit puberty, then these centers tend to open up.

You must realize that not all of the Nadi centers in the chakras will open up during puberty. It turns out that some are left closed off, which can lead to hormonal issues as your get older. Also, if you go through a lot of emotional trauma in your life, then the Nadi centers can turn back in. When you listen to this episode, Master Lama Rasaji will give you an idea of how this happens.

Tai’ Chi Gung will help decrease aging

If you want to stop the acceleration of aging, then choose Tai’ Chi Gung to help! When you are doing Tai’ Chi Gung, you are tending to your ethereal body. In Master Lama Rasaji’s book, Rasaji’s Circle of Chi he explains this well. It all comes down to our physical body, meridians, and etheric body. Prior to disease manifesting itself in the physical body, it will first occur in the ethereal body. After it appears in the etheric body field, then it goes to the meridians and finally the physical body. So when you do Tai’ Chi Gung, you are clearing up negative energy forms in your ethereal body. So, you are clearing this energy before it even begins to manifest in the meridians and the physical body.

So by doing Tai’ Chi Gung, you are preventing health issues before they even start in the meridians and then the physical body! In turn, by practicing Tai’ Chi Gung, you are even reducing the need for acupuncturists, chiropractors, and the list goes on!!

Have you considered how to heal your body with keto?

In this episode, I brought forth Amanda Decker and we talk about how to heal your body with keto. Amanda is a nurse practitioner who practices in the state of Tennessee. She also happens to be a big advocate for the keto diet and fasting. Amanda’s practice as an FNP focuses on using the keto diet and fasting as part of her treatment protocol. She uses the keto diet/fasting for type two diabetes and other patients with metabolic illnesses.

Bio about Amanda

Prior to listening to how to heal your body with keto, let me give you some information on Amanda. Amanda Decker graduated from Vanderbilt School of Nursing in 2005. She also has certificates of Advanced Education from the obesity medicine association and is scope certified by the World Obesity Federation. She happens to be a Certified Metabolic Health Practitioner through The Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners and is a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist through American Nutrition Association. Recently, she opened a clinic called DMA Weight and Wellness, where she practices primary care and focuses on weight management. She also happens to be a wife and mom.

If you have type 2 diabetes, you may want to consider learning how to heal your body with keto. A ketogenic diet will serve you very well if you have high blood sugar and increased insulin requirements. If you or someone you know suffers from type 2 diabetes, consider the keto diet as long as it is okay with a healthcare professional.

Fasting

In this episode, we also talk about fasting and how it can help treat disease. We also talk about how to deal with hunger during fasting. Overall, fasting is a muscle that takes work to improve over time. Listen to this podcast to learn some great tips.

Brittany Davis is a personal development enthusiast with ADHD and has a podcast with LivinLaVidaLowCarb’s Jimmy Moore, called One Step Deeper. In this episode, she talks about her recent diagnosis of ADHD and some of her different coping mechanisms.

Medications can have dangerous side effects

If you have ADHD, it may be of your advantage to try to manage it without medications. Why is this? Well, it turns out that, medications have a lot of dangerous side effects. The side effects of medications for ADHD can range from heart palpitations to insomnia. The list goes on! If you’re ambiguous about taking a medication, then I encourage you to look at the risks versus benefits side effect profile. Now, if you are someone who has dealt with ADHD and you’ve tried natural interventions to no avail, then of course you may be someone who needs medication.

Keto Vegan/Vegetarian

We start the podcast by Ben delving into how he got started with the ketogenic diet. He goes over his history as a vegan and the reason why he got away from it. In this episode, he does give some tips about being keto vegan and vegetarian.

Daily carbs he recommends

Ben recommends that you don’t count net carbs but instead focus on total carbs. In his approach to keto, he recommends staying 50 total carbs or below. I liked this recommendation because it gives people more flexibility when doing keto.

Three months for keto-adaptation

In this episode, we also discuss the whole concept of becoming “keto-adapted.” Ben explains why it takes 90 days for your mitochondria to achieve “keto-adaptation.” He says you can get in fat-burning mode in about a month; however, it takes three months if you want to experience true keto-adaptation.

Women and increased carbs during PMS

In our talk, we also delve into the “why” women should increase their carbs before starting the menstrual cycle. It turns out that there are actual physiological reasons. If you need more carbs during this time, then it is okay.

Keto-Carb Cycling

Ben is a big advocate of keto-carb cycling, and in his book, Keto Flex, he talks about his Keto Flex protocol. Overall, it is a good idea to incorporate keto-carb cycling when you are doing keto. Why is this? Well, because your body does need nutrients from foods that are higher in carbs.

Autophagy and fasting

I enjoyed Ben’s approach to autophagy and fasting. You see, when I fast, I always like to have my cup of coffee in the morning. One of my biggest concerns with drinking coffee is, “Is it going to ruin the autophagy of my fast?” Ben effectively cleared that question up for me. When you listen to the podcast, he will explain everything.

Stevia and MCT oil

We also talk about the use of stevia and MCT oil while fasting. He is a proponent of both!

Weighing yourself and calories

In this episode, I get his opinion on weighing yourself while doing keto and calories. He gives a good explanation on his approach to both concepts and “why” it is not good to get wrapped up in the scale or tracking calories in/out.

Fasting and Hunger

We wrap up the episode by talking about fasting and how to deal with hunger. Ben gives some excellent tips to help whenever you take on a fast!

Gratitude is something you can do daily for motivation

If you are wanting something that you can do every day, then learn to start incorporating gratitude. When you have gratitude you will find that it helps a lot to “get motivation when life lets you down.”So often, we get caught up in the day-to-day rat race, that we forget to stop and be grateful for the small things in life. In this podcast, Bohdanna emphasizes gratitude as something that you can do daily. When you are feeling out of sorts, then just stop and thank your Creator for what you have in life. Even if you don’t have much, just be thankful for what you do have on this earth.

Chakra balancing and gratitude

One thing to remember is that there are many people that don’t have very much and would love to have what you own. When you employ gratitude, you are becoming one step closer to balancing your chakras. I think that gratitude lays the ultimate foundation for chakra balance. How can you be grounded and energetically aligned if you are always wanting more and not thankful? Personally, I think it is near to impossible to achieve this!

Open your chakras and feel love energy with Tai’ Chi Gung

In this webinar, we started off by talking about fasting with Master Lama Rasaji for spiritual clarity. However, as we got further into the talk, we delved into the whole concept of why the circle of life is the life of love.  When you choose to study Tai’ Chi Gung and become a Circle of Life Community member, you will experience a flow of energy like never before.  In turn, this energy or chi, will lead you to a life of love. After YOU get these things balanced with the chi from Tai’ Chi Gung, then YOU will notice that you will naturally eat a lot less. I was so glad that Master Lama Rasaji made this point!  I think a lot of us tend to first do dietary interventions and then try to help our spiritual body. However, that is a backward way of thinking!

Info about Master Lama Rasaji Shakti

Master Lama Rasaji Shakti,  is one of the 12 Lamas in the world. Master Lama Rasaji Shakti is an expert in Tai’ Chi Gung, which is about 3300 years old in origin. Tai’Chi Gung originally began with Boganathar, a sage who mastered three different yoga disciplines. Boganathar moved to China to immerse himself in nature and then onward to Tibet to open up a school of Tai Chi Gung.

Master Lama Rasaji Shakti originally began his journey by living and training at the original Tai Chi Gung Lamasery in Tibet. Since then, he has been training in Lao Tzu’s regenerative health system for more than 50 years, and he is an expert on Tai Chi Gung.

Where can you find Master Lama?

You can find him on his show on Youtube, and he also has a show with Jimmie Schwinn called the Patriot and the Lama. You can also locate him on his blog, called Rasaji.com. On his website, you can access his Circle of Life Community. In his community, you can get access to Tai Chi Gung exercises, his Circle of Chi book, and more! My husband and I are both members of the Circle of Life Community. We have enjoyed doing the Tai Chi Gung exercises every day! Even my eight-year-old son is participating!

A tidbit about Tai’ Chi Gung from Rasaji’s Circle of Life

When you become a Tai’ Chi Gung student with Master Lama Rasaji, you will learn to connect consciously to energy in and around your field. To understand this, you need to understand the word chi in itself. According to the Circle of Chi,  chi refers to intrinsic energy or vital energy. Sometimes it is called life force, or in India, it is referred to as prana.

Tai’ Chi Gung and balancing chakras

Tai’Chi Gung is one of the best ways to balance out your chakras. Master Lama Rasaji advocates doing his Tai’ Chi Gung exercises for 20-40 minutes for 45 days to take your energy to a new level. He has videos on his site that are very easy to navigate, and he is very thorough in his explanation of the exercises.

I have begun my Tai’ Chi Gung exercises in combination with yoga and have already noticed some significant energy shifts. I have found that it is helping to give me more energy in my day-to-day functioning. Even my kids are participating and doing well. It’s amazing!

In Conclusion

In this webinar, I learned a lot and I am glad to have delved into why the circle of life is the life of love. I think we all tend to put the cart before the horse. We start dieting without tending to our spiritual bodies!  It turns out this is so counterintuitive. As I mentioned at the beginning of this description, I started out the podcast by talking about fasting and then spiritual clarity. However, Master Lama Rasaji opened up my eyes and made me realize that it is important to first tend to spirit, mind, and body. After YOU have done this, then you will naturally eat less.

Have you been wanting to take on a fast but feel scared because of hunger? If so, listen to this podcast and learn to conquer those hunger pangs during fasting! The tips that I mention in this podcast are methods that I personally have found helpful during fasting. Listed below are some common questions related to fasting. Some common questions related to fasting

Now, I will go through some common questions related to fasting. I also featured these questions in the article that I mentioned above.

When do hunger pangs go away while fasting?

Ahh, the hunger pangs question. Such a common question! You are on a fast, and all of a sudden, you ponder the following, ” Will this hunger disappear? ” Okay, so here is your answer. Unless you take on a long fast for greater than two days, hunger doesn’t completely disappear. However, there are numerous ways to reduce those hunger pangs and make them manageable! Once you understand how your body operates the whole act of being “hungry,” you can employ different coping mechanisms.

First, understand that hunger comes in waves.

When first learning how to reduce hunger while fasting, it is important to understand that hunger tends to come in waves. Did you realize that hunger has its own circadian rhythm? Yes! Ghrelin, the hunger hormone, rises and falls in a natural circadian rhythm, with a low at 8:00 AM and a high at 8:00 PM1.

If hunger were simply due to lack of food, we would consistently be hungry in the morning after a long overnight fast. However, studies show that appetite is lowest in the morning, and breakfast is the smallest, not the largest meal 2.

When you encounter a “hunger wave,” you need to ride it out throughout the day! One of the main reasons I wrote this article is to help give YOU different methods to deal with these hunger waves. You are going to use all of the interventions I mention below to help you out!

So how long is the hunger wave?

If you are worried there is no way to learn how to reduce hunger during fasting then understand this concept. Hunger is not a continuous growing occurrence. The one thing you must understand is this; hunger will build up, peak, and then dissipate. All you have to do is ignore it – one thing you must realize when intermittent fasting is that it will return3. However, after you learn the different ways to deal with hunger, you can keep your mind occupied when the hunger returns. If you are mindful of hunger itself, it will help you deal with the “hunger waves.”

Next, understand hunger is a learned phenomenon

Even when we don’t think we’re hungry, smelling something yummy in the kitchen will prompt us to be ravenous. Did you remember learning about Pavlov’s theory in college? I do! In the 1890s, the Russian scientist Ivan Pavlov was studying salivation in dogs4. The whole premise was that dogs salivate when they see food and expect to eat. This reaction will occur naturally and without training5.

In his experiments, the lab assistants fed the dogs, and the dogs soon began to associate lab coats with eating! Nothing is appetizing about the lab coats; however, the dogs were fed by the men wearing the lab coats, and food became paired in their minds6!

What is the takeaway? Well, there may be learned behaviors in our life which may prompt us to be hungry! For example, whenever my husband comes home from work around 5:30 PM, I am always hungry. Now you may be wondering, “why does your husband make you hungry?” It’s not that he makes me hungry; it is because we usually eat when he gets home. So, when I am fasting, I find that I have to make an extra effort to ride that hunger wave whenever he walks in the door! This association is Pavlov’s theory working full force on me!

Incorporating intermittent fasting regularly will help to decrease hunger.

Surprisingly, practical experience with hundreds of patients report that they most often see their hunger diminish while they’re on an intermittent fasting regimen, not increase. They often say that despite their expectation, they are eating less than half their usual amount of food daily, yet they feel full7.

Why should you balance your chakras?

If you are new to the whole chakra concept, then you’ve come to the right place. First of all, when you think of a chakra, I want you to think of a spinning wheel of energy. Each spinning wheel is full of a lot of life force and governs your emotions. If you have difficulty with a specific feeling or adopt a negative thought pattern, this spinning wheel of energy can become blocked. Let me give you an example; let’s say that your self-esteem is poor and you can’t get anything done. Well, then this could be your Solar Plexus Chakra at play. In that case, if this goes on for an extended period, then you can develop issues surrounding your Solar Plexus Chakra, such as abdominal organ issues like the pancreas and stomach.

So, it turns how that you have a total of seven different chakra centers. If they aren’t aligned and lack the life force, you can develop a disease associated with that specific chakra.
