Do you know the dangers of EMFs ( electromagnetic fields)?

Do you use your cell phone, laptop, or other electronic device and think, “Wow, I am consuming a lot of radiation today. “Even if you do, the chances are the majority of us will answer “No” to that question. I think that it is common for many of us not to think about EMFs on a day-to-day basis. If you are new to learning about the dangers of EMF, then that is okay. I will start this article by going over some of the hazards, and then I will progress into the seven strategies that you can learn on how to reduce EMF exposure in your home.

What is an EMF?

Before we dive into how to reduce EMF exposure in your home, let me give you the definition of an EMF(electromagnetic field). An EMF is a field ( as around a working computer or transmitting high-voltage power line) made up of associated electric and magnetic components that result from an electric charge’s motion and possesses a definite amount of electromagnetic energy1.

Okay, so when you read the above definition, it includes electric and magnetic components. However, are you wondering how cell phones and the word “wireless” fit into this equation? I know I did after I read the definition. What I want you to do is step back for a second and look at the word “wireless” as radiofrequency radiation2. What that typically means is a radio frequency microwave radiation 3. So what does that mean? It implies that anytime you use a wireless device or anyone around you uses a wireless device, you are being zapped by radiofrequency microwave radiation4.

EMFs and how they apply to YOU

So before you even learn how to reduce EMF exposure in your home, it is imperative to know how they apply to YOU and YOUR family. After all, that’s what matters the most! An EMF contains both electric and magnetic forces of energy, which can cause disease. It does this by exerting forces that can cause free radical damage and oxidative stress on your body. If your body gets prolonged exposure to EMFs, you can develop neurogenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s, ALS, and more! 

Have you or your family been struggling with concentration? If so, then it may be related to EMFs from your Wi-FI. Neurological, cognitive disorders, such as headache, tremor, dizziness, loss of memory, loss of concentration, and sleep disturbance due to RF-EMF(EMFs), have also been reported by several epidemiological studies 5.

There are so many conditions from EMFs that they have a national database for these dangers. If you are interested in looking at it, please go to www.emf-portal.org/. Also, last year, I did an article called, Is your smartphone toxic to your health? In this article, I also went through some of the dangers of EMFs.

Let me give you a brief list of symptoms from EMF exposures that you may want to look out for:

    • Trouble sleeping soundly through the night
    • Tingling, burning, or prickling skin sensations
    • A buzzing or static feeling in the brain
    • Ringing ears
    • Fatigue
    • muscle aches (myalgias)

5G dangerous! Do strategies for protection!

Have you heard about 5G? Are you excited about this new innovative technology to improve connectivity? If so, think again. Even though 5G may enhance your cell phone connection or how fast your internet runs, it is dangerous. 5G is known as the latest cellular technology. What you may hear from others is that 5G is safe. For example, I recently read that the fifth generation (5G) of network technology can benefit everything from entertainment and gaming to education and public safety. I also have read that it can help deliver faster downloads, better connections, and more innovation.

Even if all of this is true about 5G, it sounds too good to be true. Let’s face it; we don’t get anything for free in this lifetime, especially for anything to do with EMFs! Enhanced connectivity means more radiation, which equals more disease! Think about it. If we have a whole EMF portal search database of health conditions for 3G and 4G, imagine how big it will get once 5G is here. Talk about severe health crises. 

5G technology has not been safety tested( and currently, there are no plans to do so!)-and yet, studies point to a number of health effects. Some experts fear that it is a much bigger threat to our health than existing, EMF exposures 6.

How can I test my EMF exposure?

The first thing that I will recommend for this would be to go to this website, antennasearch.com, to find out where the closest one is to your home, work, or school. You can also purchase an EMF meter for determining EMF hot spots in your environment. I have a friend who takes her EMF meter to different places to test radiation. You would be surprised that even beautiful parks can be EMF hot zones!

Now, let me give you ten strategies how to reduce EMF exposure in your home.

Alright, so now that I have gone over some scary facts, let me calm you down and give you ten strategies to reduce your EMF exposure in your home. You see, there is good news with all of the bad news!

#1 Strategy- Purchase a QI Shield Device

I list this strategy as the first one because it reduces all EMFs in your environment. Whether you are looking to reduce EMFs in your home, office, or on the go, this method has you covered.

Do EMF shields work?

What is an EMF shielding device? Does it work? The answer to this question is, “yes.” There was a research study on a Qi-Shield ( EMF shield) that was conducted on humans. The conclusive evidence of the study demonstrated that a Qi Shield™ had a protective influence against Wi-Fi radiation.

How did they measure this protection?

This protective influence was observed through physiological and electrophysiological measurements. These measurements included heart rate variability, skin conductance, thorax expansion, respiration rate, and finger temperature, among other measurements. It was discovered that test subjects who were in the presence of the Qi Shield™ were more physiologically relaxed than subjects who did not have the Qi Shield™. These results suggest that the Qi Shield™ can protect the human body from the negative effects of Wi-Fi radiation.

Different types of QI shields available

I love the QI devices because they have different options that are available for protection! Also, it has been found to depolarize 5G! It will block radiation from EMFs in your home, on the go, or even a vast office building. Several different devices are available for purchase. One of them is the Qi-home cell, which can protect your home, up to 3000 square feet. Overall, the Qi shield will protect you from cellular (including 5G), Wi-Fi, and other EMF fields. Some people have said that they no longer have to turn off their wireless routers. 

If you own a large building or office space, you can consider purchasing the Qi-max. The protected area is 328 x 328 feet and 100 feet up and 100 feet down from the device. It can cover 8-10 levels up and 8-10 floors down. If you need a large area covered, including an entire office building, large warehouse, or large 3-story home, the Qi Max will take care of it.

They also have QI devices for protection on the go, such as the Qi Shield or Qi Me.

#2 Strategy- Use a Pela case for your SmartPhone

In my opinion, this is the next best strategy for EMF protection for your phone. Last year, I purchased a Pela case for my iPhone, and I love it! It has an ethos insert that you purchase with the case, which will reduce radiation by 80%. I also like how the case is eco-friendly with no plastic involved, and it is waste-free! By using this case, I am not only reducing my radiation exposure, but I am helping our Earth.

#3 Strategy- Put Your Phone in Airplane Mode

If you can stand it, then try to keep your phone in airplane mode. Power it on only when you plan to use it, maybe periodically 15-20 minutes per day. I know what you are thinking, “what if someone is trying to get in touch with me?” Well, they will have to wait when you do intermittently turn on your phone throughout the day! If you are nervous about an emergency, get a landline to your house or give people your business landline number. Yes, that means using a good old-fashioned phone with a cord ( it must have a cord because cordless can be just as dangerous as cell phones). Talk about old school!

Okay, I realize that there are exceptions to having your phone in airplane mode all the time, one of those being that you need it for work or need it for an emergency. In this case, pick a time throughout the day where you don’t need it. During that time, either turn it off or place it on airplane mode. Maybe you pick a few hours. Just do what you can! Anything is better than nothing.

#4 Strategy- Use speaker, headphones, or text instead of holding it up to your ear.

Every day when I use my phone, I never hold it up to my ear. I always use earbuds or speaker when talking to someone. Remember those Nextel days(showing my age here)? Just think of yourself as reliving them when you use the speaker option on your phone. If you are too young to remember those days, in the early 2000’s Nextel phones were popular. They worked very similarly to a walkie-talkie, and you would talk to people on speaker instead of holding them to your ear. I didn’t realize at the time, but that was probably a lot safer!

#5 Strategy-Do not carry your phone in your pocket.

Okay, so I think a lot of us have been guilty of this. I remember I used to carry my cell phone in the back pocket of my jeans before I knew about all the dangers of EMFs. If this is you, stop doing this now. Placing your cell phone in your pocket will send radiation to your back pocket.

Overall, you want to avoid being within 6 inches of your cell phone antenna, as this is the highest radiation point. You do not want any part of your body within that area. Do whatever you can to figure out how to keep it 6 inches away; your organs will thank YOU.

#6 Strategy- If there is a long conversation that needs to occur, use a landline or meet in person.

Does this sound old school to you? If it does, then enjoy it. I want the days back where all we had were landlines and when we met in person( again showing my age). Not only did we not have to worry about all the radiation, but we also had more freedom because people didn’t always have a way to reach us. There is something to be said about always being available for people. We need to get out of that mode!

If you do have a landline, opt for a corded phone, as cordless can still give you radiation. I have an old-school, corded phone in my kitchen, and I love it! I will talk on it when I am in the kitchen only while doing dishes or cooking. It is a fun experience(it makes me feel old-fashioned), and I also find that I don’t stay on the phone as long! As a bonus, I’m not getting the lousy radiation! It’s a win-win situation.

Meeting in person is a good option as well! It’s always fun to go to a cafe or have a cup of coffee with someone.

#7 Strategy- Think “smart” about your smart meter

Did you know that your smart meter could be a hidden source of EMFs?This meter is an electronic device that will record electric energy consumptions in frequent intervals (can register it as much as per minute). Yikes! Talk about a lot of EMF blasting!
So what is not so “smart” about these smart meters? Well, it turns out that these smart meters emit radiofrequency radiation that penetrates the walls of your home and into your home 24/7, 365 days a year
7. Now, they don’t feel so smart. Right?

So the takeaway is this-YOU need to be “smart” about your smart meter. First of all, you should never have any beds in your home located anywhere close to where there is an electric meter or breaker panel. Also, it is wise to invest in some protection device or shielding material to help protect your home.

#8 Strategy- Eat organic, keto-friendly and supplements to help your body reduce EMF exposure

If you want to help your mitochondria from all this EMF exposure, it is wise to feed your body with good keto-friendly, organic food and take supplements. When you eat keto, you will be keeping your carbs low, which will improve your mitochondrial function. In turn, your body will deal with the EMFs in a much-improved manner.

There are also ideal supplements that may help your body. High doses of Vitamin C can strengthen your immune system and are anti-inflammatory. Your body does not produce vitamin C. Naturopath David Getoff recommends up to 1000 mg of Vitamin C three times a day and sometimes more 8!

Other good supplements

Some other good supplements and bundles I like are the following:

    • Global Healing Center’s Immune Boost Bundle, which includes: Zinc, Plant-Based Quercetin, Vitamin C, and Suntrex® D3
    • Global Healing Center’s Detoxadine. This will help your brain to function better with all the EMF exposure.
    • Global Healing Center’s Floratrex. Taking probiotics or eating fermented food is always a good idea because your gut health tends to run your body. Since we are getting radiated with EMFs, we should watch for our balance of good and bad bacteria to help prevent health issues.

#9 Strategy- Use earthing to help reduce EMFs.

The other name for earthing is grounding, which I tend to use when referring to the concept. If you aren’t sure what this is, then I will define it for you. It is another way of saying to walk barefoot on the ground, and it is a way to “earth” to yourself.

Earthing, putting your bare feet on the ground soaks up lots of electrons because the Earth is negatively charged, and our bodies are so full of free radicals from anything from heavy metals, to air pollution, to trans fats.

Earthing( grounding) is a beautiful practice that we should integrate into our daily lives. After all, our ancestors did a lot of this! Grounding helps us to connect with the Earth’s electrical rhythms. It allows your body to neutralize positive ions from your electronic devices. Grounding may offer some incredible health benefits, including reducing stress, insomnia, headaches, fatigue, and chronic pain10

#10 Strategy- Balance your chakras to help reduce EMFs

Did you realize that chakra balance would help reduce the impact of EMF exposure on your body? When our chakras are aligned, there is less congestion in these energy centers, which will allow less inflammation. Even though chakra alignment doesn’t directly reduce your EMF exposure, it can undoubtedly improve your immune center. In turn, you won’t be as quickly affected by EMFs. For example, taking the initiative to ground and balance the Root Chakra can neutralize positive ions from electronic devices. As mentioned above, when we connect to Earth’s electrical rhythms, we are helping to decrease the EMF influence on our body.
